  Saint Damien AdvocatesΤΜ

Mission

The mission of the 'Saint Damien Advocates' is to make our voice be heard,

just as Robert Louis Stevenson, in defending Saint Damien of Molokai,

following Father Damien's death from leprosy and extreme criticism being circulated

in the religious press.  Robert Louis Stevenson simply wrote a letter, rebutting harsh charges.

In todays age of media and technology, we Saint Damien Advocates, simply make voices heard.

This can be simple- becoming a member, donating or joining the mail list.  Or this could be a

feat of motion, as joining the demonstrations at 145 cities across the United States of America,

on March 23, 2012 protesting Obama’s Health and Human Services (HHS) mandate requiring

religious non-profits provide abortifacients (pills that make an abortion occur after one is

pregnant) in health plans to their employees.  Much work is to be done defending the

Founding Fathers’ First Amendment Rights* in this age of federal and state incursions

into what once were family, charitable and religious realms protected by the state

Already, at the capitol in the District of Columbia, Catholic Charities foster care and

adoption services has been terminated as of 2010 due to same-sex gay marriage laws,

ending 80 years of service.   Just as Robert Louis Stevenson, all artists, writers, talents,

filmmakers, singers, youtubers, cartoonists, directors, producers, and others are asked

to contribute your talent to our cause, that you can say distinctly and with pride,

"I am a Saint Damien Advocate."
